Rs. 80,000 crore for development of roads and bridges in Assam: Mr. Nitin Gadhkari

New Delhi/ Assam,  20th October 2020: Mr. Nitin Gadhkari (Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Government of India) has announced Rs. 80,000 crore for development of roads and bridges in Assam. The announcement was made by Assam Chief Minister Sri. Sarbananda Sonowal today and further adds that works for the 9 km long Dhubri-Phulbari bridge and the promised Majuli-Nematighat bridge will start soon.

The Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadhkari also laid the foundation stone of country’s first multi-model logistics park in Assam today. The Minister further adds that “Being built with an investment of Rs. 693.97 crore, the multi modal logistics park will become a milestone in the development of North East. The project will reduce logistic cost and bring global opportunities to the region. It is being developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana”.
