Beginning today, the Assam Government has allowed inter-district travelling for the people of Assam stranded in different places due to the lockdown in force.
The rules and regulation issued for the inter-district travelling by the state government of Assam incorporate for proper screening of the passengers before they can head out from different districts. Citizens will be able to travel for two days that is July-30-31 (both days inclusive).
As per the rules issued, a bus can carry on 50 passengers at a time and travelers thus travelling should maintain strict health protocols due to the Covid-19 during their journey. Face mask should be a mandatory accessory that should be worn during the journey at all times and should maintain social distancing inside the bus.
Passengers will be screened for their temperature at the bus stand.
It may be mentioned that the allowance of the inter-district travel has been made just days before Eid-Ul-Azha which will be observed on August 1, thus providing an opportunity to people stranded in different districts to visit their homes ahead of the festival.
